Apple is known the Technology Leader and is loved by gadget lovers but the Stylish Company once designed a Clothing Line in 1986 which is totally different from Apple’s Simple, Sleek, timeless design that reflects in its products.
The sports-casual designs might embarrass the Company now with its loud rainbow colours and advertisement of their Logo on the Clothes.
They called it “The Apple Collection.”
The sports-casual designs included polo shirts, sweatshirts, belts, and snapback caps, all with the multicolored Apple logo designed upon them. Prices ranged from $15 to $47.
It’s hard to imagine the black-turtleneck-loving Steve Jobs sporting these colorful tracksuits.
Another blogger said: 'My Dad was a low level exec at Apple in the 80s, and as a result the items from the apple collection dominate my father's hat/belt/polo wardrobe in most of our family photos from the era.'
As the social media community rightly describes it that seeing the line is like experiencing a time warp. One person sarcastically tweeted, "You can see where Apple's sleek designs started out."
It is not clear how popular the Apple collection was the designs but the company no longer makes clothes. It's a good thing Apple chose to focus on improving technology instead.
