Communications app textPlus surveyed 500 respondents who use their mobile devices when traveling both domestically and internationally and created an infographic based on what solutions these travelers have found out to avoid the dreaded roaming charge, or at least, reduce it as much as possible.
According to the survey results, not surprisingly, more than half of connected travelers believe roaming charges are too high. But they’re not about to unplug altogether — 72% of those surveyed bring a tablet on their journeys in addition to Smartphones, and 71% use wifi in cafes.
