The tornado destroyed her neighborhood and her home. She never lost consciousness, but was covered in the rubble with few injuries.

"I hollered for my little dog and he didn't come, so I know he's in there," says Garcia in the interview.

The prank is a part of The Tonight Show's "Pumpcast News," where the customers at the gas station are surprised by a news anchor who can see them from the station's television screens.

As identified by the South Morning China Post, Chen Ying is an anchorwoman at a local news network. The footage has since gone viral on Chinese social media service Weibo, where users are acknowledging her "professional spirit," according to the Post.
