Samsung Galaxy S II(Model: GT-I9100) is selling fast and making records.  In 55 days since its release date, there have been over three million Samsung Galaxy S 2 smartphones sold.

The original Samsung Galaxy S models took 85 days to reach three million.

In other countries, it has gotten rave reviews, which lead many to suspect that it will also be a top seller in the United States.

The GALAXY S II is an 8.49mm thin phone featuring at 4.3" screen using bright Super AMOLED Plus technology, and features the Android operating system.

The phone is not yet available in U.S. wireless carriers but is expected to be released this summer.

Various features on the phone provide easy access to entertainment content and social networking services.

JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business says the device represents the company's commitment to deliver "premium, market-defining devices."

Below are more features of the phone, as provided by Samsung:

The phone features a 4.3" Super Amoled screen, dual core processor and an ultra-slim profile.

With the screen, users will see "every detail" and "experience the spectacle of sight."

One advantage of the screen is its "ultrafast response time" for smoother graphics and "PC-like browsing,' Samsung says.

The phone's "Live Panel" customizable software allows "easy access" for users to see personalized content such as photos, music, video text messages, e-mail, notes games and weather all on the same screen.

A "Reader's Hub" will allow access to books, magazines and newspapers that Samsung says will be readable with "crisp, sharp" text.

The phone also features Android 2.3, the operating system code-named Gingerbread, which promises faster speeds, and power management for applications to extend battery life. The phone also provides Adobe Flash player capabilities, which translates to easy viewing of YouToube videos.
