Website owners have been trying to learn all sorts of SEO tips to attract visitors but how about having SEO tool in place for mobile apps. The Apps creators are always looking out for ways to expose their apps. With over 600,000+ iOS applications, and now some 450,000 on Android, the real challenge for developers is having their app surfaced higher than hundreds of other competitors in the app store search results. There’s a new tool called ASO, or app store optimization which serves the purpose of SEO tool for mobile apps. Since we’re living in the world of the mobile ecosystem, it’s sensible to optimize apps than webpages. But developers often lack knowledge, and tools, to help figure this out.
That’s where the newly launched App Store Optimization Keyword Volume estimator comes to the rescue.
This is a cool product for mobile developer created by AppStoreHQ, which tells app developers how frequently a query is being searched for in the app store.
How does it work
To use the tool, developers have to enter their app’s URL. The software will then analyze the app and makes recommendations as to the most important keywords to use. This will help the developer see, if their competitors are focusing on a particular keyword that they may be missing. It will also show how frequently terms are being searched across app stores.
The tool also shows the current top 10 apps in the category, your app’s current ranking in a chart, a graph of rankings over time and more.
Note: Google and Apple aren’t really sharing their exact search volume data yet, so the utility has to rely on third-party sources.
The service is currently using sources like AppStoreHQ, AppESP, Google Trends, and Appolicious. However, the plan is to add more sources in the near future. The data is kept up-to-date within the last 24 hours.
The tool only supports iOS and Android for now and is offering a 30 day free trial version.
