(Please make note that these are not placed in any order of ranking. Each gadget is in a league of its own and positioned at random)

iPad 3: Truckloads of rumors doing the rounds among Apple freaks regarding iPad 3. But its retina display feature with2048*1536 pixel resolution, thunderbolt technology and wireless sync are almost confirmed. From the first impression, it looks stunning like never before but Apple technology always blows my mind and I could be biased. The camera is likely to be upgraded to 5MP with LED flash technology. And also an upgraded processor (A6) and a slimmer device (Apple’s obsession with slim continues)

Sony Bendable, folding OLED screens: Sony, much like Apple, Samsung, Toshiba and LG is working hard on offering high-end television sets. But Sony’s gadget makes it to this list as the company is toying with the idea of doling out a flexible beauty called OLED TV (All-Organic, Flexible and Transparent Multicolor Display) in 2012. Bulky television screens, monitors and laptops are a thing of the past now. Imagine how cool it would be to carry around your television from the living room to the bedroom!

Microsoft Windows 8 tablet: With Xbox 360 as one of Microsoft’s unbeaten branded product, the company’s looking out the PC world and its Windows 8 tablet is much anticipated. Sources reveal that the tablet is most likely to be launched by the end of 2012 and will be made with components by Texas Instruments and several other supplied by Taiwan based vendors. Let’s hope it’s worth the wait.

Playstation 4: Sony is preparing to heat the gaming market with the release of Playstation 4 or PS4. In fact, rumors doing the rounds even state that while this is preparing for launch, PS 5 & 6 are also being conceptualized at Sony’s R&D labs. Gamers are not just expecting the PS4 to have a mix of motion and dual-shock controllers but also be loaded with 3D gaming experience.

Nintendo Wii 2: Wii successor Wii 2 will be released sometime in 2012, Nintendo had stated earlier. The original was out sometime in 2006 and it has taken a good 6 years for the company to upgrade it to the next level! If rumors of 1080p support and ATI GPUs are to be believed, this would be one super cool device to have. Check out the video to see all that the Wii 2 is capable of doing.

iPhone 5: Okay, this one’s hardly a surprise. Even after the demise of Steve Jobs, Apple gadgets will continue to sell like hot cakes. Ditto for iPhone 5. There are lots and lots of rumors regarding the iPhone 5, like in the case of its predecessor - the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. But the iPhone 5 will certainly be much thinner, faster, and more efficient (of course). Specs include a half inch wider display along with iOS 5, flash camera 8MP (up to 3264*2448P resolution, retina display along with other goodies)

Samsung Flexible AMOLED Display: Samsung, the Korean tech giant’s Vice President Robert Yihad earlier confirmed that the company will launch flexible AMOLED display early this year. He said “The application probably will start from the handset side and would follow on with other devices like tablets”.

Boasting 800*480 resolutions, what makes the AMOLED display so desirable is that it can be folded into a 1cm radius tube! Plus, the display is not made of glass so it can easily take a blow by a hammer and not break at all.

The Asus Transformer Prime: Touted as one of the most advanced tablets till date, the Transformer Prime netbook hybridis set to be launched this month (in the UK) and has already gone up for pre-orders. With three times the graphical performance of Tegra 2, its predecessor, the Prime will run on Nvidia Tegra 3 quad. Priced at a rather steep £550,the tablet sports a slick look and is loaded with back breaking face reorganization software. But its most awesome feature is its battery life – straight 12 hours of nonstop computing ideal for faster HTML5 and WebGL performance as well as photo and video editing.

Canon EDS 5D Mark III: There’s no official announcement on this one but Canon has confirmed that it is working on a brand new full-frame DSLR. And good for them because the 5 Mark II, which is more than 2 years old, is badly in need of a good pep up. The company has not shared specs nor is the name official yet. However, rumorstalk of a 28 Megapixel CMOS sensor with six frames and a high speed AF system & much, much more. Considering how competitive this market is, it would not be surprising if Canon even exceeds current expectations!

Nokia Gem: Imagine how hot it would be if you could wrap an image you love on the whole or one side of your mobile phone? I think very! Just exactly how it’s displayed in the video, the Nokia Gem will take touch-screen to new heights. The phone has an all around touch screen and interactive displays much like precious stones; that’s why the name. With too many wow factors, this one’s a big eye candy that I’m definitely eyeing!
