Rumors surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone handsets are flooding in as we approach the infamous October month, the period when Apple is assumed to announce a new product or two. The launch of an entry-level “iPhone nano” is one Apple product that has been most dominant in the media, and sources are reporting that the new low-cost iPhone is in the works this year.
Apple is looking to expand its position in the low-end smartphone market. As such, the company is planning to launch a new low-end model later this year, possibly at or around the same time the sixth-generation flagship iPhone hits the market. More likely is the possibility that Apple will retool a current iPhone model in an effort to cut costs, but we will see soon enough. It's also being rumored that Apple may also introduce an "iPad Mini" later this year. Exciting times are abound!
