Review: Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus
At $89.99 ($50 on Amazon) , Magix’s Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus is a heck of a deal, especially when you similar consider products from Avid Technology and Apple Final Cut Pro are much more expensive. But more than being just a good deal, Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 is a quality video editing product with the ability to handle 99 tracks at once. It also features MultiCam editing for two cameras.
Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 plus can record DV and HDV cameras, video, single frame, audio and screen. It also has added 3D title effects and improved color correction from its prior version. It can burn a variety of disc formats and it supports an equally diverse range of audio formats. The software has 200 fades, 100 video effects and chrome keying with alpha channel.
Personally, what I found pleasing about Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus was its easy to use interface. The interface allows you to smoothly transition between timeline/storyboard, the preview window and the effects and content window. Furthermore, for a novice filmmaker (such as myself), this interface allows you to resize the arrangement to your convenience. The interface makes it incredibly easy to edit timelines.

Another cool feature for the novice filmmaker is Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus’ automatic editing. With a few simple clicks of the mouse, the Movie Edit Pro can take a batch of 15 videos and turn into a movie. Even better, you can chose from 15 motifs making filmmaking that much easier.
Nothing stands out about DVD menu authoring features for Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus. However, they’re easy to use and I like how you can set out chapter points. Also, if you want to capture Youtube videos and put them in your project then you can do that through its screen capturing feature. Extras like its 3D real-time animation software and its travel route animation software are fun and simple to use.
With all these cool added, simple to use features, Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus is a good product. There are some drawbacks. Mainly, it can be a bit slow and hang for a while, especially when importing. If you do not have a fast computer with a lot of memory, I would say look elsewhere. But for a beginner to video editing with space on his or her computer, give the Movie Edit Pro 15 a chance.
